HBO has renewed The Jinx for Season 2.
Following its acclaimed 6-episode run earlier this year, the cabler has confirmed “plans for more of the addictive Robert Durst docuseries,” according to THR.
The Jinx was expected to be a ‘one-and-done’ documentary, but the success of the series and the interest in Durst’s subsequent arrest have made it ripe for continuation, it seems.
No official date has been provided at this time. Stay tuned for more details on the status of The Jinx.
No idea.... says
The only reason there was such a hubbub over season one was the accidental admission of guilt at the end of it. Without that, as a whole, the 6 episode series would have been boring and without conclusion. So, I’m curious what they think will make a valid second season…. the arrest and trial? Are they going to try and beat a verdict in the news? Because, news networks may ruin any tension if they announce what any verdict may be before season 2 airs. I think they are stretching this to consider a second season. Sure, do a 2 hour special or something. But I just can’t see how a second season would do well. Really, it was pure happenstance that season one ended the way it did.
